WHAT ARE PRIVATE LESSONS?
Private lessons are one on one specialized instruction with a professional on your particular instrument. The time is spent giving the student particular instruction for things they want to learn or need to improve. A typical lesson will provide a student with exercises unique to their playing, addressing student and parent concerns regarding music learning progress, and connecting with and growing a passion for music making. The teachers as professional musicians are the best model for tone, technique, and experience.
WHY TAKE LESSONS THROUGH OUR CAMPUS?
Think of private lessons like having a personal trainer! Private lessons provide one on one teaching that is specially tailored to the needs of the student. All of our lesson staff must first meet NISD Fine Arts requirements, including background checks and screenings. They must also be approved by the Jefferson band staff, to ensure that all of a student's instructors are "on the same page". Private lessons can happen before school, during band class, and after school. Lessons are scheduled via contacting the private instructor for that instrument (see menu above or buttons below). All payment and scheduling is handled directly with the lesson instructor. If you must chose between a brand new instrument or taking lessons- we vote lessons!
